Joplin motorcyclist killed crashing into tree in Carterville

A Joplin man was killed in a one-vehicle crash 6:42 p.m. Tuesday on First Street in Carterville.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2007 Yamaha YZF motorcycle driven by George E. Farrow, 26, Joplin, ran off the roadway and struck a tree.



Jasper County Assistant Coroner Jerry Neil pronounced Farrow dead at the scene at 7:07 p.m.

The fatality was the third this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
