On Tuesday, February 5, the Thomas Jefferson Independent Day School Chinese students will celebrate Chinese New Year: the year of the pig.
They will have a parade around the school beginning at 11:25 a.m. The parade will feature traditional costumes and musical instruments, including a dragon suit. It will last approximately 30 minutes.
All Thomas Jefferson students study Chinese as part of their 6th grade program, and then have Chinese as one of their language choices for grades 8 through 12.
