THE MIDTOWN MEN, stars from the original Broadway cast of Jersey Boys, will perform Saturday, March 9, 2019, 7:30 p.m. at Joplin High School Performing Arts Center (2104 Indiana Ave, Joplin, MO 64804).
This will be the fourth of five performances included in Connect2Culture’s 2018-2019 Curtains Up Series.
TheMIDTOWN MEN took Broadway by storm in one of the biggest hits of all-time. Now on their ninth national tour, THE MIDTOWN MEN are bringing their magic to audiences everywhere, singing their favorite "Sixties Hits" from The Beatles, The Rascals, The Turtles, Motown, The Four Seasons, and more.
This sensational production reunites stars from the Original Broadway Cast of Jersey Boys. Tony Award winner Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard and Tony Award nominee J. Robert Spencer star in this one-of-a-kind concert experience celebrating the music that defined the '60s. These talented entertainers shared the Broadway stage for over a thousand performances in the mega-hit Jersey Boys.
Now, as THE MIDTOWN MEN, they’ve thrilled crowds on concert stages across the US, Canada and in Beijing and Venice, performing over 850 shows and singing with 37 major symphony orchestras.
They’ve delighted television audiences on “The Today Show,” "Good Morning America," "Access Hollywood," "Katie," and "The Chew." The Men are often heard nationwide on SiriusXM radio. They recently taped a MY FAB FOUR show for The Beatles Channel; in December 2017 they joined rocker Tommy James to star in Cousin Brucie’s Holiday Special; in June they starred in Cousin Brucie’s Palisades Park Reunion Show VI; and in December 2018 they starred alongside music legends Dee Dee Sharp, Gary US Bonds and Chubby Checker in Cousin Brucie’s Holiday Hop.
THE MIDTOWN MEN’s first radio single, "All Alone on Christmas," was written and produced by rock icon and Sopranos and Lilyhammer star Steven Van Zandt and backed by members of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band. It plays seasonally nationwide on terrestrial radio and on Sirius XM’s Underground Garage. Their new holiday single, a fun cover of the Beach Boys’ “Little Saint Nick,” premiered nationally on Sirius XM’s 60s on 6 and was featured in their holiday playlist.
The group has released two successful public television concert specials: The Midtown Men Live in Concert, and Meet the Midtown Men, a documentary that goes behind the music. Both air in markets nationally.
Don't miss this electrifying and soulful new production with its top-shelf choreography, incredible vocal performances, and legendary onstage chemistry. Not a Performance Of, Not Affiliated With the Show Jersey Boys.
