Joplin resident, four Carthage residents injured, two seriously, in head-on collision on 66 near Duquesne

Five people were injured in a two-vehicle collision 1:10 a.m. today on MO 66, a half mile east of Duquesne.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1999 Ford F-150 driven by Anthony N. Riner, 18, Carthage, crossed the center turn lane and struck a 1998 Dodge 1500 driven by Chelsey D. Waggoner, 23, Joplin head on.

A passenger in the Riner vehicle, Aaron D. Riner, 38, Carthage, was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.



Another passenger, Jeffrey M. Steele, 43, Carthage, was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.

Riner, another passenger, Jordan Riner, 15, Carthage, and Waggoner were treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital.
