Carthage Technical Center practical nursing class posts 100 percent NCLEX pass rate

Carthage Technical Center is excited to announce that 100% of the 2018 Practical Nursing Graduation Class received a passing score on the National Council Licensure Exam! Congratulations to the staff and students on another outstanding year. We are so proud of all your hard work and this wonderful accomplishment!

CTC’s curriculum includes classes in Anatomy and Physiology, Personal and Vocational Concepts, Nursing Fundamentals, Pharmacology I and II, Nursing Care of the Adult I and II, Nursing Care of the Older Adult, Maternal and Newborn Nursing, Nursing Care of the Child, Community Health/ Mental Health, IV Fluid Therapy, Nursing Leadership and Management, NCLEX Prep and clinical experience. Classroom instruction and hands-on labs are offered at CTC’s North Campus-609 River Street, Carthage, Mo. In-field clinical experience is provided, Carthage R-9 School District, Joplin School District, Freeman Health System, Mercy Hospital Joplin, Ozark Center, Jasper County Health Department, Joplin City Health Department, Phoenix Home Care and Hospice, National Healthcare of Joplin, Spring River Christian Village, St. Luke’s Nursing Center, Webb City Health and Rehabilitation, Joplin Health and Rehabilitation, Wildwood Communities.

Students interested in CTC’s Practical Nursing program must complete a rigorous acceptance process consisting of an application, transcript review, background check and admission testing. The CTC will begin taking applications for the January 2020 class beginning May 1, 2019.

Individuals wishing to apply to the program must have a high school diploma or GED and obtain a satisfactory score on the entrance exam (TEAS). Financial Aid is available to qualified students.
