On Monday, April 15, 2019, Ladder 5A, Rescue 4A, Engine 4A, Ladder 1A, Battalion 1A, Redings Mill Engine 1, and Engine 3A on second alarm responded to a report of a commercial structure fire at 2024 E. 32nd Street.
This was the strip center containing the businesses of Mayberry Construction, Homebuilders Association of SW Missouri, and Raymond James Financial Services.
Ladder 5A was first to arrive at 5:40p.m. and found a one story strip mall with heavy smoke showing from all sides.

Crews made an interior attack in Suite #2, the office of Homebuilders Association of SW Missouri and found heavy fire in the rear of the structure. The fire was confined to Suite #2, however the rest of the building received smoke and heat damage. The building was not occupied at the time of the fire.
Joplin Fire was assisted by Joplin Police Department, Metro Emergency Transport System, and Redings Mill Fire Protection District. There were no injuries. The cause of the fire was determined to be electrical.
