Parsons man arrested for sex offender registration violation

On July 12, 2024, at approximately 3:00 PM, the Parsons Registered Offender Program (PROP) arrested Brandon Scott Pyle, 41, of Parsons, Kansas, for two counts of Violation of Sex Offender Registration. The arrest occurred during a routine compliance check conducted by the program.

Brandon Scott Pyle was convicted on March 18, 2016, for Distribution of Child Pornography out of Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. 

This conviction requires Pyle to register as an offender.

 
The Parsons Registered Offender Program is committed to ensuring the safety and security of our community by conducting regular compliance checks on registered offenders. This arrest underscores the program's dedication to maintaining stringent oversight and upholding the law.

PROP greatly appreciates the assistance provided by members of the Labette County Sheriff's Office in enforcing compliance with offender registration requirements. Their collaboration is invaluable in maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of the program.

Brandon Scott Pyle is currently in custody awaiting formal charges through the Labette County Attorney's Office.

This continues to be an on-going investigation and citizens are encouraged to "See It, Hear It, Report It." All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
