Funeral services scheduled for Quapaw tornado victim

Funeral services for John Brown, 68, Baxter Springs, who died Sunday in the Quapaw tornado, will be held Friday, May 2, 11 a.m. in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home in Carl Junction with Dr. Mack Evans and Pastor Jock Evans officiating.

A visitation will be held on Thursday 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will be at Black Jack Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorial contributions to the Sheep Shed Church in his memory in care of the funeral home.
