Students advance to National History Day competition

Thirteen entries that advanced from the Missouri Region 6 History Day, held March 7 at Missouri Southern State University, have advanced to the National History Day event to be held June 15-19 at the University of Maryland-College Park.
 The state contest was held April 26 in Columbia, Mo., and included more than 550 students. First- and second-place winners in each category were selected to attend the national competition, with third-place winners to serve as alternate delegates
