This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited excessive cold risk.
  Limited ice accumulation risk.

DISCUSSION...

Some light freezing drizzle or very light snow will be possible
over parts of central and southwestern Missouri through late
evening. Travel impacts are expected as temperatures fall below
freezing and light precipitation begins to freeze on area
roadways.

Wind chills overnight will fall between zero and -10 across the
Ozarks region.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Travel impacts are expected late Tuesday and Tuesday night with
another system bringing a wintry mix of freezing rain, snow, and
sleet. The peak period of impacts is expected to be Tuesday night
into early Wednesday, but some impacts may be possible as late
Tuesday afternoon over southeast Kansas and far southwest
Missouri.

Mostly snow is expected in west central and central Missouri
where
an inch or two is expected. A mix of sleet, snow, and freezing
rain is expected farther south over southeast Kansas into
southern
Missouri where half an inch of snow and few hundredths to a
quarter of an inch of ice is possible. The heaviest ice
accumulation is expected over south central Missouri toward the
West Plains, Eminence, and Alton areas.

There is then a limited risk for some light snow by the weekend.
Wind chill values will dip into the single digits several days
this week and into this weekend.
