A Lockwood woman was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance (prescription pills) following a one-vehicle accident 4:05 p.m. Tuesday on MO 96, west of Route V.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2000 Ford F150 driven by Melissa A Feezell, 35, Lockwood, traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a guard rail, continued down an embankment and struck a tree.
Feezell was treated for moderate injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
