Oklahoma woman injured crashing into deer on I-44 near Sarcoxie

An Oklahoma woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident 3:30 a.m. today on I-44, six miles west of Sarcoxie.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2015 Nissan Altima driven by Letha M. Butler-Umphrey, 49, Midwest City, Oklahoma, struck a deer in the roadway.

Butler-Umphrey was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
