A Carthage woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident 1:20 p.m. Tuesday on Route YY at Ivy Road, one half mile north of Carl Junction.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2005 Dodge Ram driven by Michael H. Hayslip, 42, Pittsburg, Kansas, was attempting to cross Route YY from Ivy Road and failed to yield to a 2016 Kia Sorento driven by Lida R. Oney, 78, Carthage.
The vehicles collided in the intersection causing the Oney vehicle to travel off the roadway and slam into a tree.
Oney was treated for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
