Dog on the loose call turns into Pittsburg police standoff with armed man

A call to handle a dog on the loose situation turned into a standoff with a wanted man for Pittsburg Police.

The standoff occurred around noon at 117 W. Jackson. When the dog was brought under control, police discovered that the man at that address, Michael F. Chapman, had a no-bond arrest warrant for driving while revoked.

Chapman blocked his door and told officers he was armed. The standoff lasted several hours before Chapman surrendered, according to the accompanying KSN report.
