According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2016 Mazda CX5 driven by Trey T. Dennis, 34, Pineville, struck a 1985 Ford Ranger driven by Richard W. Slankard, 37, Harrison, causing the Slankard vehicle to overturn off the right side of the highway.
McDonald County Coroner Jonathan Fletcher pronounced Slankard dead at the scene at 7:45 p.m.
The fatality was the fifth in November and the 121st in 2018 for Highway Patrol Troop D.
