URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Springfield MO 244 AM CST Sun Nov 25 2018 ...Snow is Expected Over Portions of Central Missouri Today... .A strong area of low pressure will approach the region today forcing a cold front to sweep through. Temperatures are expected to drop into the 30s then 20s this afternoon and evening. Northwest wind gusts could reach 45 to 50 mph as a band of snow occurs over central Missouri. An inch of snow will be possible over areas along and north of Highway 54. There also could be a brief period of freezing drizzle this afternoon and evening that could result in a glaze of icing on elevated surfaces. The gusty winds and snow will result in hazardous driving conditions as roads and reduced visibilities occur.
