(From Crowder College)

Neosho – Area high school students in the Crowder Technical Education Center (CTEC) programs will be working from 8 am-noon, Saturday, November 3, at Faithful Friends Animal Advocates.

Student Ambassadors and administrators at CTEC were trying to find ways to get students involved in the community. “We are trying to develop a better sense of community and community involvement with our students. This Saturday we will have fifty-seven students volunteering,” stated Jim Williams, Student Services at CTEC.

CTEC students are from Neosho, McDonald County, East Newton, Diamond and Seneca high schools. They attend classes at the Dell Reed Center on the Crowder College campus in Neosho. There are nine programs at CTEC that area juniors and seniors attend for approximately one-half of their school day. Currently, 365 students from these are high schools are enrolled in the programs.
