Student removed from Lamar school following allegation of written threat toward other students

November 1, 2018, Lamar R-1 alerted the police department regarding what was believed to be a written threat toward other students.

An investigation was started and no students were at immediate risk. Parents of students directly involved in the situation were contacted. 

School administration and law enforcement are working with the student, and the student has been removed from campus. 

We appreciate how quickly the threat was reported, and we value the support of the Lamar Police Department. We have and will continue to make the safety of all students and staff our top priority.
