A search warrant was executed late Tuesday afternoon by the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office and Columbus Police Department, following a narcotics investigation conducted by Sheriff's Investigators over the past several weeks.
The warrant was served on the home at 103 East Metzler Street, at approximately 5:25 p.m.
“While searching the home, investigators discovered suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia,” according to Cherokee County Sheriff David Groves.
Arrested at the scene were 37 year-old Harley Schmohe and Shirley Morris, 63, both of Columbus along with Shelly Ledbetter, 42, of Springdale, Arkansas.
Schmohe and Ledbetter are both being held in the Cherokee County Jail in lieu of $5000.00 each on allegations of Possessing Methamphetamine, Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.
Morris’ bond has been set at $2,000.00 on allegations of Possessing Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.
