A Pierce City man was charged with driving with intoxicated following a one-vehicle accident 10:15 p.m. Saturday on U. S. 60, five miles east of Granby.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2013 Dodge Challenger driven by Garrett K. Bittick, 20, Pierce City, ran off the right side of the roadway, collided with an embankment and overturned.
Bittick, who was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, was also cited for possession of liquor by a minor, careless and imprudent driving and for not wearing a seat belt.
