Sanitation rate changes to go into effect for Lamar customers

SANITATION CHANGES FOR THE CITY OF LAMAR CITIZENS

Effective February 1, 2019 the following rates and procedure will be followed for Sanitation.

RESIDENTIAL: Minimum basic rate – $15.00 per month for twice a week pickup.
Basic rate includes limit of (3) containers/bags of no more than 35-gallon and weighing 50 pounds or less for each pickup. When a Holiday is on your pick-up day, on the next day of pickup you may have (6) 35-gallon containers.

Items that are not in a container/bag will not be picked up. (Pickup will be made when prior arrangements have been made at City Hall).

Each container/bag over (3) will be an additional $5 per item and City Hall must be notified 24 hours in advance. Fee must be paid prior to the pickup. (Call 417-682-5554 ext. 1)

Additional oversize items (items that will not fit in a 35-gallon container 50 pounds or under) will cost an additional $25 per item. City Hall will need to be notified 24 hours in advance and fee paid prior to the pickup. (Call 417-682-5554 ext. 1)

You may take your items to the Landfill, on your own, at no cost when you present a utility bill.

Also, don’t forget to recycle whenever possible.

SANITATION CHANGES FOR THE CITY OF LAMAR COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS
Effective February 1, 2019

Minimum basic rate – $25.00 per month for twice a week pickup. The monthly charge for collection of trash and garbage shall be added to the utility bill for each customer. Upon failure of any customer to pay the service charge for such collection, the City shall be authorized to terminate all services to such customer. Additional charge for a sanitation container will be the following:

The above fee covers one dumpster. $25.00 will be added per additional dumpster.
