The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, at its meeting today (Wednesday, March 6) in Jefferson City, awarded road/bridge projects to construction companies, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Here are the details:
S. Route 65 in Springfield: Pavement reconstruction and guardrail replacement
Awarded to Emery Sapp and Sons, Inc. of Columbia, for a low bid amount of $7.4 million
Missouri Route 32/Cedar Creek west of Stockton: Bridge replacement and road realignment
Awarded to Capital Paving and Construction of Jefferson City, for a low bid amount of $2.7 million
Jasper County Route D/Center Creek near Alba: Bridge replacement
Awarded to Hartman and Company, Inc. of Springfield, for a low bid amount of $2.5 million
Missouri Route 43 and Jasper/Newton County Route FF in Joplin: Intersection improvements and resurfacing
Awarded to Blevins Asphalt Construction Company of Mount Vernon, for a low bid amount of $2.4 million
Project is a partnership between MoDOT and City of Joplin
Range Line Road/Madison Avenue (Loop 49) in Joplin and Webb City: Sidewalk improvements (ADA compliance)
Awarded to D&E Plumbing of Nixa, for a low bid amount of $1.7 million
Benton County Route B/Indian Creek near Cole Camp: Bridge replacement
Awarded to Don Schnieders Excavating Company of Jefferson City, for a low bid amount of $559,819
Missouri Route 7 at Commercial Street in Warsaw: Intersection improvements
Awarded to Do-Rite Construction and Excavating of Lincoln, for a low bid amount of $548,033
Project is a partnership between MoDOT and City of Warsaw
Greene County Route F in Ash Grove and Eastgate Avenue in Springfield: Sidewalk improvements (ADA compliance)
Awarded to Leo Journagan Construction of Springfield, for a low bid amount of $464,677
Construction work on all of the projects listed above will start in the next several months. More information on the construction timeline for each project will be announced in advance of the start dates.
