Jeana Gockley named Joplin Public Library director

The Joplin Public Library Board of Trustees is proud to name Jeana Gockley as the new director of the Joplin Public Library.

Gockley currently works for the Springfield-Greene County Library District as a branch manager of the Schweitzer Brentwood Branch Library. Before arriving at Springfield-Greene County Library she served as director for the McDonald County Library system and children’s librarian at Joplin Public Library.

As director, she will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality programs and services to the Joplin community through the development of library policy, creation and implementation of the strategic plan, expansion of collaborative partnerships and development of the annual operating budget.

Gockley begins work at Joplin Public Library on Monday, July 15, 2019.
