Seneca Police make arrests on drug, assault charges

On 6/4/19, Officer Fort made a traffic stop at G&W Foods for an equipment violation.

The male passenger, Austin Lankford had a warrant out of Newton County for: Probation Violation on a DWI. Lankford was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 6/2/19, Officer Fort made a traffic stop at Cherokee and Grand for a moving violation. The male driver was arrested for DWR.

On 5/31/19, Officer Fort received a call from dispatch in regards to a suspicious person under the bridge at Ottawa and Harlan. Officer Fort arrived on scene and observed a male sitting under the bridge. 

The male subject, Brandon Blair had a warrant out of Seneca for: FTA on DWS. Blair was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 5/30/19, Officer Housley made a traffic stop near the intersection of Shawnee and Delaware for a moving violation. 

One occupant, Kimberly Weiser, had one FTA Warrant out of Anderson for: Defective Equipment and a Warrant out of Joplin for: Financial Responsibility. Weiser was arrested for her Warrants, Possession and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

Another occupant was arrested for: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both subjects were transported to Newton County Jail.

On 5/26/19, Officer Housley made a traffic stop at Cherokee/Osage for an equipment violation. The female backseat passenger, Dayna Wright had a warrant out of Joplin for: Aggravated Domestic Assault.
