...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 800 PM CDT
FOR NORTHERN LAWRENCE AND EASTERN JASPER COUNTIES...

At 746 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Miller to near Pierce City to near Duenweg,
moving south at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Carthage...                       Mount Vernon...
Jasper...                         Miller...
Carytown...                       Fidelity...
Stotts City...                    Halltown...
Avilla...                         La Russell...
Reeds...                          Red Oak...
Dudenville...                     Maple Grove...

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 44 between mile markers 28 and 58.
 Interstate 49 between mile markers 37 and 56.








PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
