Over the past couple of weeks, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputies have been investigating a rural burglary and theft, which occurred on October 23rd, in the southeast part of the county.
As part of the investigation, a search warrant was obtained for an apartment at 600 ½ Main Street in Galena.
Just before 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 4th, 2018, members of the Sheriff’s Office and Galena Police Department executed the search warrant.
During the course of the search, stolen property was recovered in addition to suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Three minor children, who were home at the time, were placed into Police Protective Custody.
Arrested at the scene was 27-year-old Jack Gorby. He was transported to the Cherokee County Jail on allegations of Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Meth, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and three counts of Aggravated Child Endangerment.
Also arrested and transported to the Cherokee County Jail was 25-year-old Elizabeth Ann Wade. Wade is being held on allegations of Possessing Meth, Possessing Drug Paraphernalia and three counts of Aggravated Child Endangerment.
