On Saturday, November 10, two stops for the Sunshine Lamp Trolley along Main Street in downtown Joplin will shift due to the Joplin Veterans Day Parade.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. Stops will be relocated starting at 9 a.m. and be in effect for the 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. pick-up times. IF Main Street would reopen BEFORE the 11 a.m. hour, the trolley will revert to the original locations for these two stops. The relocations are:
3rd & Main Street stop moves one block west to 3rd and Joplin Avenue. It will be in front of the Economic Security Corps office building.
6th and Main Street stop (in front of City Hall) moves one block west to 6th and Joplin Avenue, in front of the Empire District – Liberty Utilities buildings.
Although the relocated stops are along the parade route, the trolley will be finished in these areas prior to the parade reaching these locations.
The Sunshine Lamp Trolley operates from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. More information about this service can be found at http://www.joplinmo.org/DocumentCenter/View/478/Trolley_Brochure?bidId= .
