2018 was a busy year for your Joplin firefighters, we came within 58 responses of going over 9000 runs for the year. Add in training hours and fire prevention and safety hours and 2018 is one of the most active years this department has seen.
One notable statistic to point out is our average response time to a building fire for 2018 was 4 minutes and 1 second nearly 30 seconds faster than 2017.
