Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 5:20 a.m. Thursday on U. S. 60, five miles east of Seneca.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2000 Chevrolet S-10 driven by Jacob R. Bettes, 28, Wyandotte, Oklahoma, struck a 2007 Ford Taurus that was stopped in the eastbound lane. Debris from the crash struck a pedestrian, Abdirashid Ashkir, 47, Noel.
Ashkir was treated for minor injuries at Freeman Neosho.
Bettes was treated for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
