According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2005 Honda 1300 motorcycle driven by Robert W. Reneau, 57, Neosho, struck a deer in the roadway, ejecting Reneau.
Newton County Deputy Coroner Dale Owens pronounced Reneau dead at the scene at 3:12 a.m.
The fatality was the 37th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
