On 4-19-2018 at 9:51 a.m the Joplin Police Department responded to a single vehicle crash at Murphy Blvd. and Connecticut Avenue.
A westbound 1997 Ford F-150 was being driven by Brian R. Taylor, 54, Galena. The vehicle crossed the center of the road, left the roadway, continued west and struck an electronic traffic control box on the southwest corner of Murphy Blvd and Connecticut Avenue.
Taylor was transported to Freeman Hospital and pronounced deceased at 10:24 a.m. No other persons or vehicles were involved in the crash. It is under investigation but it appears that a medical emergency may have occurred first, resulting in the crash.
