Resurfacing work along West 26th Street and Iron Gate Road to begin next week

Starting the week of April 23, crews will begin working along West 26th Street and Iron Gates Road as part of this year’s resurfacing project. Work will take place on 26th Street from Schifferdecker Avenue to Country Club Road, and on Iron Gates Road from 20th Street to 32nd Street, weather permitting.

Work is expected to be continue through the week of April 30, with completion on or near Friday, May 4, dependent upon weather conditions. Crews will be working during daylight hours. Lane closures will be necessary along these routes, and drivers are encouraged to watch for flaggers for notifications. Traffic delays may occur, and drivers may wish to utilize alternate routes during this time.

The contractor will provide access at all times to buses, trash collection and emergency services.

Motorists are advised to use caution in these areas and to use alternate routes when possible. Your patience during this project is greatly appreciated.
