An ongoing narcotics investigation has led Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputy’s to execute two search warrants within the past week, resulting in the seizure of methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription drugs, drug paraphernalia and one handgun.
The first warrant was executed on Saturday, April 21st at a residence on Southeast Boone Lake Road, where marijuana and drug paraphernalia was seized.
As part of the investigation, deputy’s obtained a second search warrant on a Baxter Springs home. That warrant was served late Thursday night.
Items seized from the Thursday night search warrant include methamphetamine, marijuana, paraphernalia and a firearm.
Arrested at the scene in Baxter Springs on Thursday were:
Rickey Mayberry, 53, of Baxter Springs on allegations of Possessing Methamphetamine, Possessing Marijuana, Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs, Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Criminal Use of a Firearm. Mayberry was transported to the Cherokee County Jail where he later posted $14,000.00 bond.
Stacy Lynn Castillo, 51, of Baxter Springs on allegations of Possessing Methamphetamine, Possessing Marijuana, Possessing Felony and Misdemeanor Drug Paraphernalia. Castillo remains in the Cherokee County Jail in lieu of $10,000.00 bond.
Catherine Mallory, 40, of Baxter Springs on allegations of Possessing Methamphetamine, Possessing Marijuana and Possessing Drug Paraphernalia. Mallory is being held on $7,000.00 bond.
“This investigation remains ongoing and our office anticipates additional suspects being charged with various drug related crimes as we move forward,” stated Cherokee County Sheriff David Groves.
