Man arrested by Joplin Police says he found cocaine on the ground, which was quite fortunate since cocaine is his favorite drug

Incident Spotlight

Yesterday at 1:51 p.m. officers were dispatched to the area of 20th and Joplin for a disturbance. 

The caller said a male in a vehicle and a female on foot were having a verbal altercation. Officers located the male in the vehicle at the car wash at 22nd and Main and contacted him. He was nervously reaching into his pocket and very upset. 

The investigation revealed he was in possession of a bag of cocaine. The male said that he had just found the bag of cocaine on the ground in an alley before officers arrived, however he admitted cocaine was his drug of choice. He was arrested for felony drug charges.
