Sunday evening at 9:56 p.m. the Joplin Police Department was notified of an armed robbery that had occurred at Charlie’s Chicken, 2020 East 32nd Street.
A female employee locked the business up and was walking to her vehicle when a male approached her on the parking lot on foot. He pointed a handgun at her and demanded the night deposit bag. She complied with his request, giving the suspect the night deposit bag and he fled on foot to the southwest. He was not located by officers.
The suspect is described as a male with a handgun wearing a dark jacket, gloves, dark colored jeans and had a “hunting mask” on his face. Anyone with any information on this robbery is encouraged to contact us at 417-623-3131.
