A Pineville man was charged with driving while intoxicated after hitting a pedestrian and a parked car in a parking lot at Palameno Lane on U. S. 71 in Jane.
According to the Highway Patrol report, Ramon Alvarez, 22, Pineville, driving a 1999 Jeep Wrangler, hit pedestrian David E. Carte, 34, Centerton, Arkansas, and a 2006 Dodge Durango while leaving the parking lot.
Carte was treated for minor injuries at the VA Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
In addition to DWI, Alvarez was charged with felony driving while revoked, felony leaving the scene of an injury traffic crash, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
