The South Street Bridge over Kansas City Southern Railroad will be closed to through traffic on Monday, July 30, 2018. Repairs will begin on the approaches on each end of the bridge and the anticipated time of closure will be two weeks.
This work is under contract on a bid accepted at the City Council Meeting on July 3, 2018. Dalton-Killinger Construction will be completing the repairs and installation of bridge approach slabs. This work will correct the current problems that are a result of settlement at the fill face on each bridge end.
Your patience will be appreciated during this time of inconvenience. Please plan your schedule accordingly to adjust to the detour that will be required in order to cross the KCS line.
