Carthage man injured in accident near Cameron

A Carthage man was injured in a one-vehicle accident 10 a.m. Saturday on U. S. 69, three miles south of Cameron.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Kyle V. Maserang, 24, Carthage, was driving southbound and traveled into the northbound lane, overcorrected and traveled off the west side of the road, striking an embankment and came to rest off the roadway.

Maserang was treated for minor injuries at Cameron Regional Medical Center.
