The Joplin Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will host a candidate forum 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, in the North End Zone Facility on the campus of Missouri Southern State University.
The AAUW is hosting this forum for those candidates (State Senate and State Representative) in contested primary elections in Southwest Missouri.
The primary topic of the forum will be higher education funding and policy. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend.
The event is also open to the public.
