08/25/2024 Officer responded to a call regarding a theft not in progress. Investigation continues.

8/27/2024 Officer was dispatched to Dollar General in reference to a past tense theft. Suspect was unknown; but returned to the store the following day. Paperwork was submitted to the Barton County Prosecuting Attorney for consideration of charges of Stealing Under $750 (shoplifting).

08/28/2024 Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of E 12th in reference to a verbal domestic. One person was transported to the Barton County Jail on charges of Domestic Assault 4th Degree. He was also in possession of a controlled substance which was sent to the lab for testing. Charges on the controlled substance will be pending awaiting lab results.

08/28/2024 Officer met with the Assistant City Administrator, Rusty Rives, who informed him of utilities being stolen in the 1400 block of College. Two summonses were issued, for theft of a utility and tampering with a utility meter.








08/30/2024 Officers were dispatched to 1st & Broadway in reference to an unresponsive person sitting in a vehicle. One person was arrested for probable cause driving while intoxicated. A citation was issued for Driving While Intoxicated.

08/30/2024 Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Maple St regarding a Burglary Past Tense. Investigation continues.

08/31/2024 Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of E 12th St for suspicious person who was seen driving . Suspect was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Driver was cited for driving While intoxicated.
