Suspect in attack at Duenweg bus stop arrested in New York

On 9-5-2024, U.S. Marshal’s Service took David L. Bostic into custody in Queens New York on the warrant for first degree assault that took place on 1-11-2024 at the bus stop in Duenweg. The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is awaiting his extradition back to Missouri. 

UPDATE #2 7-10-2024

Jasper County Detectives have positively identified the suspect in this case as 47- year-old David L. Bostic of Bellevue, Washington. Charges have been submitted for Bostic and a warrant has been issued for his arrest on the charge of Assault 1st degree. If anyone has information about Bostic's whereabouts, contact the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office or your local Law Enforcement agency immediately. 








Bostic has a history of violence and is considered armed and dangerous. Don’t approach him. Bostic has ties to multiple states including Missouri, Utah, Washington, Arkansas and New York.

The victim has been released from the hospital and is recovering. Detectives have followed up on several tips and the case is still active, we are asking the public for assistance on getting this suspect and vehicle identified. On 1-11-2024 at approximately 8:45 PM, Jasper County deputies responded to an assault call at the bus station in Duenweg. Upon arrival deputies contacted an 18-year-old male from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with severe injuries to his neck. The male was transported to a local hospital and is stable condition with a stab wound to his neck. 








Detectives are currently working on this case and have released pictures of the unknown suspect and vehicle that was involved in this incident.
