Jasper woman injured in two-vehicle accident

A Jasper woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident 9:40 a.m. today on Nutmeg Road one mile north of Alba.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica driven by Kelbert E. Miller, 44, Carterville, was pulling out of a driveway and failed to yield to a 2002 Ford Escape driven by Jessica L. Rector, 28. Jasper. The vehicles collided, causing the Rector vehicle to drive off the left side of the roadway, strike a mailbox, and come to rest in a ditch.

Rector was treated for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
