The Joplin Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 2807 E 19th at 1:35 AM, Wednesday, 27 January, 2016.
Fire crews arrived on the scene at 1:42 AM to find a shed on fire. Fully engulfed, on the north side of a house. The residence was cleared and crews extinguished the shed fire.
The fire was declared under control at 1:52 AM and crews remained on scene until 3:20 AM. The house was occupied by Rodney Dopps.

No injuries were reported to either fire personnel. 6 Joplin Fire units and 18 Joplin Fire personnel responded, as well as JPD and METS.
The cause of the fire was investigated and found to be incendiary in nature, with an unknown ignition source.
