Anderson man injured in accident on I-49

An Anderson man was injured in a one-vehicle accident 6:20 p.m. Saturday on I-49, three miles south of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1998 Honda Civic driven by George E. Jones, 47, Anderson, went off the left side of the roadway skidding, overcorrected, went off the right side of the roadway and struck a bridge.

Jones was treated for minor injuries at Freeman Neosho.
