Autopsy scheduled to determine cause of death of five-month-old Carthage boy, investigation continues

On 07/08/18 at approximately 0304 hrs, officers of the Carthage Police Department along with EMS responded to 615 E Airport Drive in reference to a five-month-old male child not conscious and not breathing. 

Upon arrival, officers and EMS confirmed that the child was deceased. 

Carthage Police Investigators with the assistance of Missouri State Highway Patrol are currently in an open investigation into the death of the child. No arrests have been made and an autopsy has been scheduled to assist in the investigation.
