Crowder College Adult Education needs volunteer tutors

(From Crowder College)

Crowder College Adult Education (AEL) and Literacy Program are in need of volunteer tutors to support the efforts of the classroom instructor at their Neosho and Noel locations. Crowder College AEL does not require volunteers to have prior teaching experience or know any foreign languages. Training is provided for free.

Neosho ESL classes are held:

Mon, Wed and Fri 8:30 AM-12:30 PM;

on the Crowder College Neosho Campus in Newton Hall room 300 C.

Noel ESL classes are held:

Monday through Thursday 10:00 AM-2:00 PM;

and Tuesday and Thursday Evening 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM;

in the Noel First Baptist Church Family Life Center on Gratz Street.

All volunteers must:
Be 18 years old or older;
Be a native or fluent English speaker;
Be willing to make a commitment of at least two hours a week;
Have the desire to work with adults from different cultural, educational, and economic backgrounds
Pass the Crowder College background test (paid for by the AEL program)
