MSSU activities for week of February 15

Two business workshops hosted by the Small Business & Technology Development Center and screenings of the latest in the James Bond series are among the events planned for next week at Missouri Southern State University.
Monday, Feb. 15
President’s Day Photo booth: 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Lions Den in Billingsly Student Center. Students can celebrate the holiday with powdered wigs and other presidential props.
Thursday, Feb. 18
Analyzing & Managing Cash Flow: 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Room 108 of Plaster Hall 108. Participants will take a close look at where cash comes from and where it’s used in day-to-day business, and learn to identify and correct cash flow problems. Cost is $59 per person. ‘Spectre’: 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., Phelps Theatre. The screening is free and open to the campus community – students, faculty, staff and alumni.
Friday, Feb. 19
Board of Governors meeting: 1 p.m., Boardroom on third floor of Billingsly Student Center.
Starting a Small Business: The First Steps: 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Room 108 of Plaster Hall 108. Participants can discuss business ideas, learn about planning and legal requirements, marketing strategies and potential sources of financing. Cost is $29 per person.
