A program on curbing sexual violence will be offered free to the community at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, in Webster Hall’s Corley Auditorium.
Other activities planned for the week include an evening of fun activities for students, screenings of the movie “Creed” and a chance to see the MSSU Chamber Singers open for an award-winning vocal group.
Tuesday, Feb. 23
Career Coach Series: Leadership Luncheon: 12:20 p.m. to 12:50 p.m., Room 309 of Billingsly Student Center. Industry professionals will offer tips to succeed in the workplace.
Gift Card Bingo: 12:20 p.m., Lion’s Den. Students can play for a chance to win fast food gift cards.
Bongoball Mania & Zorbie Racing: 5 to 10 p.m., FEMA Shelter. Students can dodge obstacles in Bongoball, and then race in giant, inflatable spheres.
Wednesday, Feb. 24
Jeff Bucholtz presents “Together We Can”: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Webster Hall’s Corley Auditorium. Bucholtz will discuss ways to prevent sexual violence through an examination of the cultural ideologies, attitudes and behaviors that allow it to flourish. Free and open to the public.
Thursday, Feb. 25
‘Creed’: 2:30 and 6:30 p.m., Billingsly Student Center’s Phelps Theatre. Free and open to students, faculty, staff, alumni and guests.
Friday, Feb. 26
‘Creed’: 6:30 p.m., Phelps Theatre in BSC.
Chanticleer, featuring the MSSU Chamber Singers: 6:30 p.m., Central Christian Center, 410 S. Virginia Ave. The MSSU vocal group will open for the Grammy-winning male vocal ensemble. Free and open to the public; presented by ProMusica.
