This morning, Sheriff Ken Copeland with the Newton County Sheriff's Office presented Detective Adam New with a life saving award for his actions on December 22nd in Loma Linda.
Detective New rescued a small child that had fallen in a pond. Detective New gave rescue breaths to the child and then transported the child to Mercy Hospital.
