Four Carthage residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident 6:45 a.m. today on Highway BB, north of Locust.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2004 Volvo driven by Chad E. Vaughan, 37, Carthage, pulled into the path of a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder driven by Jose M. Gomez, 38, Carthage.
Vaughan and a passenger in his vehicle, Kevin Corry, 55, Carthage, were treated for serious injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin. Gomez and a passenger in his vehicle, Encarnacion M. Velazquez, 32, Carthage, were treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Joplin.
